I don't agree with what he said, drunk or not, but people say harsh things all the time, drunk or not. It's just that he's famous and he got caught. Other than that, the officers wouldn't give a rat's a$$ cause I'm sure they've heard worse from Jews, Christians, whites, blacks, Asians, Latinos, old people, young people, gay straight... you name it.
Mel is just the most recent famous person with a high profile who said it.

That's no excuse whatsoever! My gran'ma always said that alcohol is kinda like a "truth serum". He meant what he said! He's anti-Semetic, sexist, and I'm so glad that it finally came out. He's always been that way and had those thoughts. Too bad he had to be drunk to really say how he REALLY felt. I guess it was the "Passion of the Booze".

I'm just surprised the rest of Hollywood is pretending to disagree with him... I think he's absolutely wrong, but as much as Hollywood hates Israel I would've thought they'd back him a bit more. It's probably just because he's not a Scientologist...
