My boyfriend says he has cravings.
could it be that when the girl is pregnant the guy might have the cravings instead of the girl

It means he's having sympathy cravings.
There not coming from his body there coming from his mind. Apparently he cares for you very much and wants to be a part of the whole pregnancy experience with you.

People crave things because their bodies are lacking some essential nutrient and they know they can get it from a certain food. So whether you are preggo or not does not matter. Some women crave toilet paper or clay when they are preggo. Guys can be deficient in a nutrient also so tell him to start eating better and he'll stop craving foods.

There are more chances that you are going to have a baby boy when the guy has the cravings. But could be wrong.

Well, you know cravings are not unique to pregnancy, he just loves food and gets a taste for something. Feed the man.

typically no. It tends to happen more with couples who are living together. It's called "sympathy symptoms" where the husband/partner will have pregnancy symptoms, the same as his wife. There's all kinds of studies done on this, it's really quite intriguing. Personally though, my husband never had any sympathy symptoms.
