I was the same age 18, my husband was 48. We got along great. We were married lasted almost 6 years. He dided opf cancer. But I loved him and things were fine. So if she is out of high school , she can do what she wants.. Make sure it is not just one sided. . See if she would go out with you, Then take it from there.. We use to do things with his kids and we just got closer . Things happen. Good Luck Pem

48 can absolutely have a relationship with an 18 year old. To be honest, its most likely not going to be a very healthy relationship until she's older. I'd like to think that I was mature at 18, but looking back, I learned so much since then that I feel was important to getting to where I am today. I think that you should tell your feelings for her, but at the same time, think about what makes her so special? Is it just for her looks? Age has little to do with a relationship. I would say that it is important to tell her your feelings privately whether or not you choose to act on them. Its better for you to get shot down by her and cry for a day, than to always wonder about it.

Agism is the last great prejudise within our society and it is purpetuated because people will not acknowledge it as a prejudice.

That any of the negative answers to this question. Take out "48 year old" and put in "black" or "jew". Now how do those answers sound to you?

Love is such a rare and precious thing. How small-minded is it of any of us to pass judgement on it.
