"Lumiere" is an unusual name, but also very pretty. I would look for a middle name that would give the first name added meaning or one which would provide balance to the first name and serve as a name the child might more familiarly use. For instance, a man given a first name of "Gawain," which means battle hawk, as strong as that name is, might need a name like "Gerold" to balance it; so that he would be called "Jerry," a name a bit easier to live with.
Your choice of a name, "Lumiere," which, by the way, I can not find a reference to in my sources of 1,000s of names, will be quite unique. For her, I'd suggest a name that would amplify "Lumiere." One that I like is "Leta," which means joy, delight. It also has a minor alliterative affect which, I think, sounds nice to the ear. Used as a familiar name, it is easier to spell so won't give her teachers a fit. (I remember when I taught I had a difficult time with some of my student's names, the girls, mostly, and it upset a few when I addressed notes to them and got their names wrong. We are all justly proud of our names and hate teachers to seem to make fun of them.) "Leta" is unusual enough that her friends will like it but they shouldn't tease her about either of her names.
Good luck in you baby naming. I've never had the pleasure of doing so myself. I only name the characters in my works of fiction.

You're going to name her Lumiere? You realize she'll be tortured at school. Don't forget, this was the name of the candle stick in the Disney movie Beauty and the Beast.
I know a girl named Ariel, and she's consistently made fun of for having the little mermaid's name. Be careful what you name your kids - you can save them or give them a lifetime of torture with their name.

Stella - means star. You may need to check if your name is the masculine variation - in Beauty and the Beast, Lumiere was male.
