men and women don't think the same way only because they're not brought up the same way.
Stop thinking like that. men don't think differently than women because they're men. Only because they were brought up differently.
The problem with our leaders is that it's the boldest who always get the job, not the smartest. And that's a HUGE difference.

Yes, I agree with you that society is getting more and more matriarchal, but I do not think that it is good. The matriarchal role is really in it's best definition as the authority over the children and the household and in balance with the patriarchal authority as the head overall. Men wimping out and becoming wusses leads to women rising into the vacuum created by this abdication of the men, and leaving their most happy domain, the children. Children need both in their proper relationship with each other to most easily adjust to life. Not that they can't when things are turned around, it's just harder. Families are microcosms of the larger society, and when they are healthy then society is healthy and the converse! Of course, then we get into "Whose definition of what is proper and good and what is healthy..." Since I believe in God, I do not think he leaves us in the dark on any major point, so I go to the Bible to try to find confirmation for what I think is right or if I just don't know, insight as to what the mind of God is on any certain subject.

I agree and if it happens it would be good I think. From my observations men are naturally more aggressive and competitive. They seek domination. In a new situation, in a casual conversation men try to figure out who is the leader, are they stronger or weaker then the rest?
Women in the same situation seek closeness. They want to communicate, see others person point of view. Women have more empathy, which help them to "make the connection". In our times of global communication with almost no space restrictions this ability is priceless. For the same reason or maybe because this is women nature they would easier overlook differences, they are more prone to compromise. They are more elastic. Women don’t want to intimidate others. They have more peaceful approach. Women are natural carers. What is destroying our society and the planet if not aggression and the need for domination?
There is still a problem of finding a place of men. Should they develop the same characteristics as women? Or maybe there should find completely new role for themselves? I would see them as inventors, not rulers; competition on this field would be a good thing.
Unfortunately, I can’t see them giving up their domineering role easily, especially that women are not very interested in it.

Weird I was just thinking about this stuff the other day. Wouldn't women make better leaders? Men get so hung up on ego and testosterone driven things, I do think women will eventually and clearly demonstrate their superiority at all things. I'm not a 'feminist' and don't have big issues about this at all, I just notice lots of questions posted about why marriages fail so often when they didn't used to and the answer is that women don't have to take their crap anymore and without having them forced to stay by society and economics men just can't keep a relationship together, so how will they keep the planet together?

I think that ultimately, patriarchal and martriarchal roles should remain balanced and in check with each other.
But that won't ever happen.
But I think that if women ever really did "rule" the world, we would have a lot more male activists.
I think there's a lot of support to show that it would be a good society, as women tend to think more fairly then men.
Of course women can also be devious and selfish.
Pah. I have no idea. Sorry for wasting your time.

Who knows?! It could be amazing. I seriously doubt we could cause worse problems that those plaguing us now. As a few men often point out... PMS could be an issue. *L* So what if Madame President has PMS and starts a war. Wouldn't be much different than it is now... just different hormones.
