OK. I'm not a car person-so ya'll will have to be nice to me... ;}
When I turn on my AC, it only works on high (4). The light won't turn on or anything. Normally when I adjust the air, I can fill it "click" into 1,2,3,4. But it wont click until I get to 4. When I first noticed something wrong I smelled something burning-but I'm not completely sure it came from my car. It hasn't since. So I'm hot as all get out!!! Please help me!!!

The A/C switch in this car is wired to the fan control, normally to keep the A/C from turning on when the fan is not blowing. Sounds as if you have a problem with the fan control switch - which may very well have been what you smelled burning, too.

so if your a/c is working, but only on high it is probably just the switch itself. you said you are "hot as all get out" though. so is it working or not. if it isn't working it could be many things. if you don't want to try to fix it yourself i would ask your friends where they take their cars to get them fixed if you don't have your own mechanic. make sure they have been happy with the service they have gotten of course. if you smelled something burning i would almost bet that the actual components of your a/c system aren't at fault. therefore making it a much cheaper fix. if you are willing take off the panel that covers the a/c switches and look around to see if you notice any wires burnt. the panel shoulds just pop off although it might have a screw or two.

it sounds like you need a new a/c blower switch. Check it out at the Ford parts site http://www.motorcraft.com/catalog.do
I believe you must disassemble your dash to do the repair though!!!
