hi kicksy,

!!!! Congratulations! u r in level three. !!!!

i really wanted to give a nice answer to this question. i have been discussing this with everyone in my office since i saw ur question. more than any other question, i liked this. i too have the same habbit. i did enjoy my school life and univ life. but still, when i think abt those days, i believe that i could have enjoyed even better. i remember the picnics i missed, the invitations i declined, the compliments i forgot to give, the friendships i forgot to make.

i think only way is to forget all those things, learn from the mistakes and enjoy the present life. otherwise four years down the lane, we will regret abt things we r not enjoying now.

i will watch this space to know the answer myself. select a nice and genuine answer.

Enjoying is actually a MATTER OF DECIDING whether you want to be bored, gloomy, ugly or not for the rest of your life; or may be, for the rest of the day.

It's a CHOICE you make. Why buy things you don't enjoy? Why do the things you don't enjoy? A person who does that without much thinking is a PITIFUL person. A person who prefers to be stuck in the middle of the ocean.

We all have choices, a gift from the Almighty... this we call FREEDOM. You have a choice to be here in a country that protects your freedom, in a country that is abundant in almost everything, and be not in Lebanon.

Even those people who are victims of war, violence or injustice, they too have choices. Whether to choose peace or terrorism; to choose to fight or be afraid.

Nothing we can do here... Answers may be pouring in for you. But in the end, you still have to choose.

So you either choose to be in the middle of the ocean or find a lifeboat so you can paddle away and reach your destination.

Have a good life!

OK it sounds like you are a deep person, you find no pleasure in material items or routine things. (like work) You get up go in do your thing and come home. Boring!!!

Being a deep person means that you are more into the intellectual side of things rather than the simple pleasure of just having it.

So you need to find something that you can engross your mind into, and there you will find happiness.

If there is something that you find enjoyable then make that your job too.

If you like to go rock climbing, get a job in a specialty store and learn all about everything in there. Or work in an indoor rock gym teaching kids to climb.

If you like skiing you do the same. Find out that one thing that you do have an interest in and that will be your starting point.

This is a very Western dilemma. We have too much and wonder what's the point? Perhaps you can't imagine having nothing. Maybe you should consider helping less fortunate people to see how lucky you are. Either in a small way - get involved in charity work at home, or in a big way - change your life; sell up and go abroad as a volunteer.

you should stop and thank God that you actually had a chance to be here today and after you think about it all then maybe you will enjoy things..just think tomorrow may never come u never no so enjoy things now while you can.

A good place to start is to find one thing that you can be grateful for each day and expand from there.

G'day Kicksy,

Thank you for your question.

You might need to seek counselling. You sound as if you might be depressed.

I have attached some references for you.

Regards

Sounds like you have physiological issues. Talk to a therapist and they might have more insight.
