i remember very well. i was too young though. i had somethings in my life that turned from a child to a young adult before i was ready, but i am very proud of who i am now and how my little miracle at the time turned me from a child to a young woman.

My first day of internship at a medical hospital. When i stepped inside that huge trauma center, I was sweaty and nervous. Thats when i knew that im not a child anymore and that im an adult. I realized that other people are depending on me to save their lives. That they expected me to be an adult and handle myself as an adult and not as a child anymore..And it wasnt one of those summer jobs anymore where you just babysat your neighbors kids for 3 hours or so. I was 21 then ...

I like to think there is still a kid in me. In my 20's I realized "Wow, Im really doing a good job at this grown up thing - keeping a family alive that depends on me & a roof over our heads...ALL ON MY OWN!"

I'm still waiting for that to happen. Just kidding.
When I was 17 and working and paying my own bills..it made me feel like I was an adult and it helped me make mature decisions because I felt responsible for my life.
