Please don't start talking about him killing babies and old ladies.
It doesn't take a genius to figure out that a man with the mind to free people from slavery does not kill little babies and rape old women!

i think that you americans dont hold him with more esteem,especially african americans,after all he did a great deal to help blacks get on the road to freedom,maybe a memorial statue in washington,i dont know to much about the man but it was probably pro slavery propaganda that said that he killed many people.

No. But terrorism, no matter how just the cause, is wrong. Even if he was only responding to pro-slavery terrorist acts in "Bleeding" Kansas, the old playground adage applies: two wrongs do not make a right. There were many abolitionists who did not form vigilante groups. Fredrick Douglass was always an advocate of non violent reform. Ghandi and MLK, Jr. showed how effective that could be. Douglass met Brown and wrote about him in a positive light; still people who kill because they believe God is on their side make me nervous.
