Fortunately most carpentry takes place on ground level. I think most people were a little afraid of heights at first, but after doing it for a while, you get used to it quickly. The worst things for me are walking the plate, setting trusses. It takes a little longer to get used to walking the top plate 2x4. Other issues that are more fearful all have to do with setting trusses, sheeting the roof and placing the fascia and soffit. But, sure enough, it gets easier each time you do it. Good Luck

I gave this a few minutes of thought, first, while Jesus may have been a carpenter, I don't think the Bible has any verses describing anything he made/built/put together so you may not want to hire a contractor without references. My Dad was a carpenter, but he died, and he's not god he stayed dead, and he's not Jesus either he took great pains to teach me Irish tales and "Stuff" and for some reason I can't fathom, The Kalevala. So I am not the son but the daughter of a Catholic/heathen carpenter, I speak some French, mostly insults. But I also am not a deity and I am on the east Coast and so completely useless to you. and the moral of the story is apparently not all deities that operate hammers are equal. Please tell me those French directions have pictures and Screaming about Satan should be reserved for Sunday morning. That way it's over before I'm conscious.

Start of with bungalows , if you can deal with them , the sky's the limit . If however you find that you cant handle the heightsz then you might consider opening a school for height challenged chippys who want to learn how to use their newly purchased 6" nail guns for playing darts with .

I can remember when I had a fear of heights. The best advice I was given was to face my fears so a buddy of mine talked me into going skydiving.......it worked and it was an awesome experience ....good luck and GOD bless.

It is not the fear of falling...It is the fear of jumping. Gravity will always hold you to a ladder or walk board. If your tools are set up properly, you should have no fear.
