U say for Writers? .... then computer is better for correcting and management of datas also. ... But costly
also u can get a electronic Typewriter are also available in market for a cheaper cost,
U can do corrections easier then ordinary Typewriter in this, and
just choose one depending upon your budget..

Computers are better because you can back up your work onto disks and it is also easier to correct mistakes or rewrite a part of the work.
