Ok so this is what I'm reading here... People seem to think If you support one party more than the other, you MUST have all of the same beliefs. Do people not realize, originally Political Parties were based on Social Status, and the rights associated within each class. Ex.. Democrat was for middle/lower class rights, where as Republican/Conservatives were more Upper Class Rights. I'm liberal by those means and those means only. I don't agree with abortion, but I do agree with the death penalty.
So why is it so important for people to hate one party for the completely wrong reasons??

I completely agree.

Although, I wish you would've gotten more into the fact that people tend to generalize insults too. Same with governments and countries. If a government attacks another country. It's the people who are to blame!!! Take for example the current Israeli crisis. According to many people it must be the Jews!! They've been planning this since 9/11 according to some.

I've been pushing that site a lot for a reason. It shows that generalization isn't right. That I can be liberal, and be against abortion or against gay rights or anything like that. Just like a conservative can be for women's rights or for gay rights.

There are certain things people people should really sit down and think about.

I agree. Even the polititians can no longer be pushed into one way of thinking. Both parties are on the same track....they are pandering to the contributors of their elections...the rich special interest groups. Neither party is working for the common tax payer. I refuse to be backed into a political party.

Sadly people paint in broad strokes,Dem's liberal treehuggers,Rep Warmongers.in bed with big business. In the 24hr news cycle we live in,I guess the extremes in each are what brings the ratings.Sad really,I believe most people are basically well meaning, even in political terms.I am a glass half full kind of guy though.Good question.
