I'm not sure how other people feel about this, but it seems that every woman who posts a profile on Yahoo and declares within that she is a lesbian also feels that it's necessary to bash all men, threaten them, tell them they'll be ignored, etc. All the profiles I've seen of lesbians have some slanderous comment towards men somewhere within, and it seems the more harsh the bashing, the more guys try to "break through" so to speak. I can understand venting if you were upset about something, but just because a human was born with a p*BLEEP*s doesn't make him an as*BLEEP*le; I'm living proof of that. So instead of wasting my time trying to ask these women why they feel the way they do (I'd just be ignored anyway), I thought it best to ask here. I firmly believe that hatred and name-calling will never solve problems. I guess all I'm really asking is, is it really necessary for lesbians to hate me just because I have a p*BLEEP*s? after all, I don't hate lesbians.

Atropis, the furthermore on your response was uncalled for. Do you think I'm self-congratulatory? Do you know me that well? Or are you one of those angry ones with the bashing profiles, like I was referring to? I DO understand sexism and racism and are against both, and I'm getting rather tired of the continuing rants from idiots who are only making themselves known as such by making such remarks. Your response has been reported for abuse; I strongly suggest you cease and decist from future insulting remarks.

I agree with a couple of the other women.........we get very tired of men taking the word 'lesbian' as a challenge..........and sometimes 'bi' women too.........recently I had a bi woman contact me simply because myspace says lesbian......turns out she & her hubby are into swinging......my profiles always say lesbian & married/partnered and usually includes a pic with both my partner & myself and yet people think we are there for their sexual amusement and the older I get the grouchier I get about it....as for bashing men, I dont do it........too many wonderful men in my life.........I only bash the sexist pigs that think I'm nothing more than a challenge to their masculinity.

I have a profile on Yahoo!. I don't bash any men in my profile. I just don't date them. I know plenty of good men, my dad, my sons, my uncles, my step-father (rest his soul), my best friend, my brothers, I only have 1 female cousin, so with the exception of her, my cousins, I could go on and on. I don't hate men. I don't dislike men. I am in agreement with the other women that don't like the men that respond to my profile saying that they can change me or think that I am into threesomes. Your comment after your question is quite sexist. Lets say for instance that I make a comment that all men are dogs. I don't know all men so I can't say that. Or all white men have small penises, I don't know all white men. (The one I was married to was quite large in the penis area) All black women can sing... do you get my point? I don't hate men. As I told a co-worker that told me that I needed a good d i c k in my life, It wasn't the d i c k that turned me off, it was what is attatched to it. I don't hate you. I love and respect you for not disrespecting the lesbian community with a lewd question.

Particularly if the profile is of a dating variety, they're probably trying to filter out the annoying straight men who will sit there and drool and ask "can I watch". I'd get sick of it too. Furthermore, anyone who's self-congratulatory enough to call themselves living proof of ANYTHING probably doesn't really understand sexism, or racism, or heterosexism, or classism...

I think a lot of lesbians have been burned by placing a personal ad in order to meet other women, only to get many many more replies from men. Men who tell them they are lesbian only becuase they haven't met the right guy, or men who tell them they'd like to join them in bed with another lesbian, or men who tell them ....oh gosh, who knows what. But these are men who have little reason to read a female seeking female ad, and no reason to answer one!

I'm sorry that you have came across some very rude lesbians.
we are not all like that,,, like not all straight people are scared of us or who hate us.
I am a Lesbian and I get along with men,, but I do HATE it when a man says "I can change you" or "you just haven't' had the right man yet" or something real vulgar. I mean , just b/c I'm gay those men do not have the right to talk dirty to me. I don't go around and telling their wives or GF's that I can "change'' them.

I'm a lesbian, and not a sexist. However, I do get tired of random men messaging me wanting to meet, date and/or have sex/marry without even looking at the profile. Even more annoying is the ones who then read the profile, then try to argue they are 'the' man for whom I secretly long.

So how was your day?

dont try to change them, its like the baptist who told me he could **** the devil out of me, i would gleefully have beaten his head in and i dont have any devil in me, he just chose to believe something about wicca that wasnt true and then offered to break one of his own commandments to chase the devil out of me. what an old idiot. just leave the lesbians alone and maybe they wont look you up to whack on you.
