example:
your core rights include your right to food,to protection and security(things which your government CAN NEVER take away from you, even if you're a criminal, regardless of what you've done)

then you have your corollary rights...like privacy, and
company..what we call PRIVILLEGES.EXAMPLE:IN THE CASE OF THE PRIVILLEGE OF HAVING comapany, you might wish to befriend someone, but that someone doesn't need to say yes to your offer in friendship.if it was your right to have him as your friend, then it would be a crime for him to say "no".

so can you just give me more depth and insight into the issue of rights?i'm researching for a debate.thank you!

CORE

Right to Food and Water
Right to Shelter
Right to Security
Right to an Environment free of Psychological torment.
Right to be free of cruelty and torture

COROLLARY

Right to Free Speech
Right to Free-Thought and opinion.
Right to Vote
Right to Protest
Right to Privacy
Right to Self-Expression and Non-Conformity (Eg, the government could never issue us with 'numbers' or make us all wear blue jumpsuits)
Right to Choose (Whether it be the places we shop, the clothes we buy, the brands we choose to eat, whether we choose to eat healthily or from fast food stores, where we go to school... even down to more controversial issues like the right to choose to abort or to deny religion.)

I can't think of anymore right now, but hopefully that could be a bit of a springboard...

Your only rights are those which you are willing to fight for, essentially, that for which you are willing give your life. You have natural rights, such as the right to defend yourself.

Many governments can and do take away rights, they do not feed, house and protect their citizens.... North Korea is an example... Mexico is a less extreme example.... Mexico drives its citizens OUT, North Korea tries to keep its citizens within its borders. Neither country makes much effort to take care of its citizens. Islamo-facist "governments", almost choked on that one, give women no rights.

But, in the end, people only have what they will fight for and defend. Freedom is one of those things worthy of that fight.

Well if you define rights as thing which cannot be taken away, then the only right you have is to your own thoughts and beliefs inside your head. Food can be taken away, protection and security can too.

your right as a human being are whatever your government says they are.
In your lifetime you are gauranteed three things. Life, taxes, and death
anything else is questionable
