You can try taking melatonin before you go to bed. You can buy it at walmart or any drug store.

Amazing! My parents in law were the worst insomniacs till they got on to this most incredible sleep system from Nikken Wellness. It consists of a kenko pad to lay on, a kenko comforter/doona and a special pillow. It is available in all bed sizes but it is not cheap. I know a number of people who have this system and they all swear by it. I have tried it and it is remarkable!!!! For me it only took a few nights and I felt amazing. So energised. I have spent the last 3 and a half years up and down all night with kids but even if you only sleep for a few hours on this system you will feel like you have slept all night and you will feel like you can do anything when you wake up in the morning.

Better still - you can have a rollout that takes about half an hour which simulates what the sleep system does. It is so incredible you wont believe it. Some people even say they have stopped snoring from this pillow...

I use so many of the wellness products from this company for my whole family and since I have had their water system both my young kids have slept all night, every night since too. (They used to be up 20 times a night!)

Can't praise these products enough. There are brochures on this stuff too.

Good luck.

Nothing works for me, but I'm an extreme case (chronic insomnia, parasomnia, sleep apnea, etc.) However, for "normal" people, three supplements that you can get at Vitamin World or GNC that may help are: (1) Melatonin, (2) Valerian Root -- with or without hops, and (3) Holy basil extract. Stay away from over-the-counter sleep aids because they interfere with REM sleep, so you usually wake up feeling tired and stay tired for most of the day.

I once went to a chinese doctor, and he gave me a great sleeping potion! Also valerian can be bought from the chemist which can be a helpful sleeping remedy. Learn to relax, try meditation or something to slow down your mind, lavender oil on your pillow, drink chamomile tea,. Avoid stimulating things like tv music alcohol & smoking for around 2 hours before you go to sleep.

Take the pills earlier so you get to sleep earlier, therefore getting more sleep which should make up for the naps. If that doesn't work try melatonin, it works for me.

My suggestions would be:
Valerian root extract, in liquid or capsule form.
"Calms Forte" dissolves under the tongue.
A warm bath before going to sleep.
Glad to help

Sometimes I will take a half of a melatonin tablet.
It doesn't take much for it to work.
