In this heat wave, or at any time, you can find a way to help others. Do errands for the elderly, especially now. Keep them indoors in airconditioning. Keep animals indoor with airconditioning as well. When they must fo out, stay with them . Then back in, again. They need cool water availablleto them, just like us. The thing is, consider the needs of those who depend on the kindness and carefulness of others in order to survive. If you have a bird bath, keep it filled with cool water. Turn a lid upside sown in the yard , filled with cool water for squirrels, rabbits, etc. If you concern yourself with the needs of others, you can't possibly be bored or unhappy. Give it a try, friend. Please.

My teens drive quads & tractors, ride horses, play vid games, swim in the pool, taught themselves to drive and go exploring around the woods where we live since we are 7 miles from town. Its a little boring for them but they've adjusted since moving from the big city.

Me, I garden and enjoy having friends over, ride horses & quads.

depends on age. High schoolers can go to school sports events, join school clubs and band. Older may join local health club, all ages can meet friends at church. Invite someone over for dinner once a week. Go outside at night and look at the stars and moon. Listen to the crickets.

The internet is a good start. Make friends, try to get used to the local entertainment. If not, show some new friends fun things you used to do but that haven't caught on yet. Btw, where are you, Idaho? lol
