I'm a woman and also a reptile expert, it is not weird. I also had snakes growing up, I didn't have many friends, but my pets were always there for me as was I for them. Having an interest in the natural world is great, it sparks a lifetime of committment. I would recommend reading all you can about those species that interest you, that is what I did and now I am a walking taking library on herp care.

Now what would ever give you that silly Idea? Oh I know, Adam and Eve, blah blah blah the bible made society hate snakes. It does many detrimental things to society... :( but anyways, back to the subject: I have a baby ball python and she is the cutest snake you ever did see, next to Nermal of course, the first ball python We had which my sister took when she moved out... yeah It's not weird for a gir to have a snake, it's weird (not to mention completely illogical) for people to think it's weird.

no. I used to have a pet snake when I was little, and he was awesome. It's not weird for a girl to have snakes, that's just a stupid steriotype that some people think that girls must have girlie pets like cats and poodles and guys must have manly pets like big dogs and reptiles. power to people that dont mind sticking out from the crowd!

Not at all,I have a girl on my 360 site that owns and sells snakes,she has some beauties,at the pet store I go to the girls handle snakes all the time.
If you like them keep them,I think it's the eyes that get most people.
when they get older and you handle them well,you won't fear much of anything.

If it's wierd for a girl to have snakes, then what do you consider the walking freakshows of tattoos covering every square of their bodies. Or what about people who walk around with over a hundred piercings on their faces. I have thirteen snakes. Trust me, you aren't wierd.

I think its awesome that you own two snakes and all the power to you if you get more!!! I don't think you should care what anybody has to say. If they bring you joy, peace, whatever it may be, than so be it! Who cares what others have to say! Enjoy them! You go girl and have fun!

well if it is i must be a right weirdo because i have 1 snake, 1 lizard, 2 GAL snails and 4 tarantulas. so i don't think it's weird.

no i don't think it's weird you have snakes as a pet. I actually think that is really cool. at least you can have pets, I'm dieing to have my own pet.
