A commando is a soldier specially trained in tactics, survival skills, intelligence gathering, getting out of tricky situations and yes, killing, amongst other things. So yes, special forces would be considered commandos, as would Navy SEALS, Marine Force Recon. The British SAS, Russias Spetznaz, amongst others
