How do u take the tinted paint off my window...of my car?

I got stopped for once since never!
The cop told me that my tinted windown are 40% and they have to b 3%....so does anyone know how many strips im supposed to take off?

They have this machine where they stick iit on the window where they can tell.

Did the cop give you a ticket? Can he prove that the window tint is darker than allowed? Don't remove the tint... Force them to prove that it doesn't meet standards first. I'll bet you they can't do it.

The best way to remove window tinting is to spray it down with ammonia. Let it set awhile, and it should come right off ( with the aid of a razor blade, if it's stubborn). If you look at the instructions on a box of window tint, it will tell you not to clean with ammonia based window cleaner. This is because it takes the film up. If it turns out to be a spray tint, (VHT makes a good quality one,) then you will have to use paint remover. Just make sure it won't harm glass. If you have any questions, the refer to the manufacturers websites.

go to a parts stor and ask for aircraft stripper and put very little on a rag and wipe on make sure it don't come in contaqct with anything else but the glass and leave on the with windows open for about 10-20 mins then with a fresh rag wipe off and clean ur window with windex

window tint isn't a paint its acually a sticker so try a heat gun a razor and some cleaning products and some hard labor hahah
