Do not use hydrogen peroxide, it will kill some of the infection, but it will also break down some of the healthy new tissue in the infected area. You would be safer to remove the piercing for a couple of days and clean the area with alcohol (rubbing alcohol) and put some antibiotic cream on the area to aid in healing. If it doesn't heal well, you should go to the doctors, as the infection can travel through your body internally and cause a great deal of damage. Good luck to you. Have a good night!!!

Mine did the same thing a couple months after I had it pierced. Peroxide is definitely bad for it. Try warm water with dissolved sea salt. But if you take it out for more than a few minutes it will probably close up. (mine closed in an hour and a half.)
Also, I don't know if this is ok for a nose piercing or not but my boyfriend used polysporin for his eyebrow and the infection went away super quickly.

Take out the ring and clean the ring with rubbing alcohol. if you can get betadine solution ask at pharmacy put that on the piercing and the ring before you put it back in. It should clear up in a day or two. (be careful it will stain your skin a bit) or use Bag Balm on it. You can get this at a pet food store. I know it sounds funny but that stuff will heal anything in a few days. Good Luck

Yes hydrogen peroxide will infect it.It would be better to buy something to heal like from a earring shop/jewelry shop ask for help if you don't know what you looking for.And you shouldn't take it out unless you want it to close up.The best you can do for it is to either go to the nearest earring/jewelry store and buy something to help heal it up.Or go to your doctor to get a special medicine. If you don't have a doctor right know go to the nearest clinic for some help with your infection.

just use a bit of antibiotic cream such as neosporin. take out the nose ring and apply the antibiotic cream to your nose then apply it to the nose ring. then out the nose ring back in. it works!
