I am American and I do not.
They question is why do people from other contries blame america for everthing that is wrong with their country? Why not ask their own leader and wealthy people to share with the poor? Why is there a huge contrast between rich and poor in some countries? Why do some people live in castles while other people live in huts?
Why do people hate americans when they bring humanitarian aid everywhere? Yes we do fight wars and do bad things. Yes we do, but not against everyone. Why do people hate us so when we are often the only ones to help? Why when we need help does no one offer? Why do people cheer when our people get hurt? Why do people burn our flag and taunt us by protesting in our own country? Would that be allowed elsewhere? Think about it?
Is it really america who owns the world or humans? Have the animals and plants destroyed the world? Or was it humans? Who is destroying the environment now? Is it now China?
Think about it. How about asking your leaders and the rich of your country to share with your poor? How about holding them responsible for the problems in your country? Who is it anyway that is harming your growth? It it america? There is strenght in numbers so be responsible and take back your contry please do not blame us. We took care of ourselves and made our country good for ourselves because we were being persecuted by england way back when they were bad to us. Yeah England was a bad force. Why not fight for your rights and stop blaming us for your problems. Okay?

Americans don't beleive they are the owners of the world. It's just fact that without America you would not be online and someone else would own you, and your family, decide what you would do in life, who you would marry and where you would work or go to school.
America was the first sucessful democracy in the world and Beleive me americans will die before they would lose their freedom. It is also fact that America has the right to confont any and all aggressions against america and it's interest in securing our freedom. This what has allowed you to be free, and if you think what you posted than you are in serious trouble already in what ever country you live in. Because you will never know what freedom really is.

Your words look more like a topic heading than a question.
Americans are a group of people. Every person in a group does not have the same thought about anything. Even those programmed to do so, like the zealots of a religion or sect that likes to kill in the name of *insert flavor of the week here*.
We have to deal with the entire world wanting to be like us while they hate us, them blame us for their own confusion.
Look at the bright side, if you’re really young, you can head the next group of people to hate us.
Also no matter what the skirmish, were invited and then rejected.
We are the World Police.
You know how it is with cops. When you need one, you’re glad to see him, and when you’re the bad guy, you hate to see him. Either way after the party is over, both just want the cop to leave with out a thank you or a little respect for the fact he gave up time, energy, and in our case, money to solve their little tiff they couldn’t fix themselves.
As a poor American, I can think of a million better ways to spend the war budget we just blew on “others” right here in my hated little world.

Because you ask a question like "why the Americans believe to be the owners of the world?" I think you were trying to ask "Why do the Americans believe that they own the world?"
The reason we are? Someone has to do something to take care of your lazy ***.

They don't but if other countries would start taking responsibility for their own messes maybe the world wouldn't perceive us as so ego-driven. Seriously, you call us corrupt yet most other countries harbor terrorists, make war against their own people and France doesn't even have enough balls to enforce their own laws. The only nation that is truly progressive is Canada. The US is great because we make ourselves great. You hate it. And maybe us not caring what some pansy nation with their own level of corruption thinks about us makes us greater. We wouldn't be fighting this 'war on terror' if all you developing and socialist governments would help with the cause. True, Iraq is a mess but we freed their citizens and helped them form a democracy. What did your nation do? Supply arms to terrorists? Sit back and call us stupid or evil? You could be great if you wanted to be but you'd rather be lazy. And what are you gonna do when China and India become superpowers? Bet you'll submit.

A lot of people think that whatever the leader of a country does is what the entire country feels or what they see Pampered idiots like Paris Hilton behave is how we all behave Yes we have a aggressive stupid president and enough vacuous reality stars to fill the astrodome but we also have a lot of hard working caring citizens from all walks of life and all beliefs who just want to take care of their family's and even help others at great personal sacrifice and it is the same in all countries everywhere you only see what the leaders are doing and saying.

We don't...but what interests me is why you think that we do.
We are willing to help other nations that ask for our help. We are allied with other countries to whom we offer military assistance when they have trouble. We try to help resolve conflicts, along with other nations, in order to establish peace. And we promote basic human rights.
How does this make us "think that we own the world"?
We are a large and powerful nation, and we do everything that we can to help other nations that ask for our assistance.
Would you feel differently if we did nothing to help others i.e.: no foreign aid. Kept to ourselves. Did not allow any foreigners into our country, and did nothing to promote human rights anywhere else?
Maybe we should just keep everything that we have to ourselves and forget that everybody is part of the same Earth. Believe me, if we did, we would be just fine, but I have serious doubts that the rest of the world would fare as well.

They don't think they own the world. In fact Americans act just like Canadians. I don't understand why people say this and that about Americans. I am glad Americans are powerful and I think they are using there power properly.

Its the way we were brought up. The last few generations dont think that and were not taught that but our grandparents were, so its still talked about. I wish that were not the case and that everyone just knew that we should not try and police the whole world. It totally sucks being sterotyped as a whole contry..there are many many people in America that dont think that way at all.
