Yes you are supposed to go in to the OBGYN around age 18, or sooner if you are having sexual intercourse.

Yeah, you are suppose to even though you aren't sexually active. They do this to look for cancer. While you are there, they will have to check your boobs too to see if there are any lumps. They try to detect any sort of cancer that can be living in your system. Its not a fun trip but you really need to go as soon as you turn 18 and you have to go for an annual check up.

you are suppose to begin seeing an OBGYN when you become sexually active or when you turn 18 and once a year preferably to ensure you are healthy. Good luck and be safe.

I think that you are talking about a pap smear test...the one that tests for cervical cancer and other diseases. You are supposed to get this test as soon as you become sexually active. You can get this at any time but the general time is when you engage in sex.

no. technically, you should get checked as soon as you become sexually active. no one can make you go to the gynecologist. but it is a good idea for your own health. thankfully, if you aren't having any problems, a yearly check up is all that is required. personally, i hate going. but it is easier if the doc is female.

You do not have to be examined when you're 18 if you are not sexually active or having any complaints gynecologically (like abdomen pain, etc) and your period has already started.

1. Your most popular response would be. . .Only go if you are sexually active.

2. This is not necessarily so, it's sometimes good just to make sure everything is ok there.

yea it is a good idea to go get a pap test. it is the same as a checkup. You will need to go if there is a risk of cervical or ovarian cancer in your family.

Well you dont "have" to do anything, but it is reccomended, even earlier sometimes, as soon as you become sexually active you should go for your first pap test!.
