Dont get me wrong N.W.A., Ice T, Tupac and other early gangster rap pioneers actually had meaningfull lyrics speeking out on problems in the world, but this new (c)rap is terrible it all sounds the same and it has no meaning other than lets get 26 inch rims on my Benz and by Rolex's and platinum teeth.

I totally agree with you. The old school stuff had some passion to it, the new stuff is all about showin off. I wouldn't take any of the new CD's if you gave em to me. You did forget Too Short though! LOL

I am a huge rap fan. But I must agree with you that some of the rap music nowadays can be so simple. But there are still good artists out there like Nas and Jay-Z. But I see no signs that rap is dying out and I hope it doesnt because some artists truly make it worth listening to.

I agree and i love rap! I still listen to my nwa and tupac cds. All the booty bounce and shake it sh** is too much for me. L.L. and will smith and alot of others you can understand are the ones i still listen to. Too short is also good! But you have to admit some of your metal stuff is pretty rough also. Rap will not die though. There is always someone to come up with somethin. May not make since but somebody will put it out for a dollar. Thats with any music.

Exactly !! N.WA, Public Enemy, The last Poets this was rap. Using your voice as a weapon. Angry and fighting. Now, we get this "rap" like Chris Brown, 50, and all that other crap. They aren't angry !! Every song is about a girl in a thong, a girl in a club, a girl.... THAT'S NOT RAP. YOU'RE NOT GANGSTA. Your just an imitator. Death to this so called "rap" !!

I like the new rap,i has great bass and getting better than shoot,shoot,bang,bang.but i like all forms of music from classical to metal. Expand your mind open your options,listen to a variety,a little Sinatra,or some bach,then some Janet,then finish with Six feet under.its all good...

I totally agree...Rap is just about making women out to be a peice of meat. All them girls that dance in the rap videos half naked make me wanna throw up. Have some respect for yourself!
