Lately there has been A LOT of people with martial arts backgrounds in wrestling, am I seeing this more because I am martial arts or is it because it really is happening, more martial artist in wrestling..

Does this make or break martial arts? Some martial arts styles have allready gave martial arts a bad name as it is a bunch of fighting, will people then say martial arts is fake because its on wrestling or will martial arts continue to be viewed as a joke!

THANKS!

the main purpose of martial arts in self defense and sportsman ship... i dont think that will ever go away.. wrestling is fake and i dont think a "stone cold stunner" will help you to defend your self from being robbed a knife point... as long as self defnese classes are being taught the spirit of martial arts will live on

Pankration and Ju Jitsu both involve grappling and ground techniques, not too far removed from wrestling. There will always be people that will say that martial arts have been watered down or that they are fake or whatever. Don't let that concern you, or hinder you in your training. Good luck to you.

martial arts isnt a fake either it is a joke, i got to my first degree in tae kwon do in 4 yrs.

its up to different people to vew it as a joke, i personaly dont think its either, martial art teaches self defence, self control, discipline.

dont know how you look at it, but im for it

p.s. it doesnt make or brake it for me

Don't worry about it. Just train, and be the best you can be.

Beyond that, it's out of your hands.
