Unfortunately I have been a witness to a couple in my lifetime (it is never easy to deal with) and there could be any number of causes for it.
The hardest part is that there are a lot with no specific cause at all.
It would be easy to say follow this list of instructions and we can guarantee you a healthy baby, but that's not how it works.
Of course maintain a healthy diet, follow your doctors instructions and take care of yourself.
Other then that it's in the hands of a higher power.

Yes, you can have a still birth at 32 weeks. There can be a variety of causes and sometimes they don't even know what caused it.

I pray you didn't have to experience this...you don't say.

If you are worried about this, talk with your doctor. Every doctor is different, but some will give you a sheet that is called a "kick chart" and you will lay down for awhile and count the babies kicks.

As you get bigger, the baby tends to not move as much, but should still be moving around.

Just give your doc a call if you have any questions. Never be afraid to...that is what they are there for and what you pay them for!

Good luck!

Yes i have heard of it and the most common causes were the mother was exposed to Rubella or some other toxic substance. Sometimes the fetus' heart fails or something hasnt developed properly. Compressed umbilical cord is also another cause but happens so rarely.
If you are pregnant dont worry too much hun everything will be fine.

I had a friend who had a problem sustaining a pregnancy through to the end. Her last miscarraige was at 30 weeks and she delivered a stillborn. Her problem was what they called "anticardiolipin antibody". But most times like the one said, it is a cord accident. I hope things are ok and all is well. They have made a lot of wonderful advances when it comes to childbirth.

I heard about it in the news once. Hospital negligence for not following up with sonograms when they knew it was a risky pregnancy.
