No need to ask.. You definitely did the right thing.. If I was in your place, I'd do the very same thing.. Congratulations to you and your choice! Bravo!

I would not have wanted to work with drug addicts either. That personality type can be a drain with their "highs" and lows. You did the right thing but - you should have kept that job until you had another one. Good luck finding a good job!

I can't blame you for quitting your job. If you had stayed around you might possible be doing drugs. When you apply for another job don't forget to put on your resume why you quit your last job. This will be an advantage to you. However if a drug test is required for you next job, you had better be clean.
Good Luck!

You might have done the leaving bit a bit better. Like did you have another job to go to when you quit this one? No? Why not? You would have been negotiating for your new job from a position of power. Now you are going to be in a position where you just have to get another job.

Working with people in need takes a lot out of you. If you've been working there for a while then maybe you're just burnt out. If you're burnt out then you're not giving it your all, therefore you're probably not helping very much. So... go find a different job. No problem!

Are your co-workers drug addicts or the clients? Either way it's your decision. If you can't handle it then it's best that you left.
