Sometime I know that someone is gay from his eye contact.

Sometimes you can know, and sometimes you can't. Gaydar it's called. I use eye contact too, but it's not 100% effective.
In general, I find that straight men do not hold eye contact with other men very long. A gay guy just might. Whether he's doing the same thing I am, or he's looking to see where I'm looking, I get a warm feeling when it happens.

The only way for sure you can know if someone is gay for sure through first contact is if that first contact is their hand on your a**. Otherwise, the only sure way to know is if they tell you.

Well. When I met a very handsome guy for the first time, I shaked hand with him little bit longer than he expected. When he wanted to withdraw, I held his hand stronger and he responded by keeping with me shake little longer and even his eyes blinked like he felt something to me. It was miracle :)

my gaydar tingles lololol, they look directly in my eyes, a knowing smile, hold my hand just a little too long at the introductory handshake, there's a thousand ways but sometimes its just instinct.

Always trust eye contact..just a little too prolonged.

You can either ask them, or go by your Gaydar(this is something that either you have or you don't!). Are you scared of gay people(gay men in particular), or are you interested in this fella?
