At highschool (40 years ago) a saw a film at our film club. It is about an almost perfect crime ( a murder) commited by a clown who gets caught because of the confetti that escapes from his bag.

The film I'm referring to is a classic, if my memory serves me right it is a film with a message, that crime doesn't pay and that you'll be found out.

It is NOT a film about a serial killer.

Hmm for a minute sounded like the letter "M for Murder"... i think that was the name but that's an old french film of a child sex offender and killer who gets caught when the letter M was painted in red and he was caught with it either on his clothes or hands... sounds like maybe a remake of that.. but not sure.. I'm sorry, I probably didn't help things any better...just trying to guess what it might be.
