There is this girl at school who is so self centred, she wants the spotlight. Everything that my friend does she copies, like my friend went to try out for netball, so she decides she wants to go too...but she doesnt even know how to play netball!! what do you think of her?

Your friend should feel honoured that another girl wants to be like her. What a compliment.
The other girl wants to do what everyone else does, I assume, to fit in. You say this girl is self centred, I think you need to look at her in another light. Think of her as someone that in fact, doesn't think very highly of herself and is just trying to make friends because she has low self esteem. I bet you will become friends with this girl one day and realise how wrong you have been about her. You will find her to be someone that really is shy and doesn't have many friends.

I had a friend like that in High School. I would just say she wants to be accepted and feel important and in school you are still trying to find your true self and some people go to greater lengths than others to find out who they are. But I would say that you can follow people around all your life and act and do what they do but soon you realize that you have no idea of who are. You may not have as many friends acting yourself and doing your own thing but at least you would be true to yourself.

I think she just want to fit in is why she does what she see the others do. If she was self centered she wouldn't do what others do because she'd be too busy trying to do her own thing and want others to copy her.

i used to be like that...
felt so MISRABLE and felt needy and wanted somone.
you know what happens if you break that persons heart?
no one really knows...it depends on the presons desires and personality
make her one of you...it will feel uncomfortable but shell give it a break some day.
