Because fast food companies know people are prone to having bigger eyes than their stomach. Since ketchup is something that's provided free, they would rather give them to you in small packets than large ones so if you take 10 packets (which may seem like a lot to the human eye) and use 5, the business loses less money. Be advised this is just my analysis, I have no credentials in the ketchup/fast food industry.

Because the companies think if you get irritated opening 20 packets to get a tablespoon or ketchup, that you will quit after 2 or 3 or go without. Food cost. The less you eat, the more money they keep.

Cause companies are amazingly cheap and think they are sweet to make you open a million packets to get the amount of ketchup you're looking for!

I'm laughing so dang hard right now!!!! My pet peeve. Mustard packets are the same size, same as all condiments. Wot a Rip!
I'm thinkin' it's ketchup rationing. Kinda like the amount of oatmeal in a instant oatmeal pack. Vienna sausages? Probably designed by the same type of people that give kids one mini snickers bar on Holloween.

it packaged so small because our daily diet is based on a 2000 calories. a single packet of ketchup is a single serving.

cheap cost. think, for example the benefits of small packaging.

1) people will always take a few, so only a little bit is lost per pack
2) more fit in a box
3) less weight in to-go bag
4) less chance of more ketchup being lost--like if one is damaged, a whole ounce is lost...not if it was big.
5) we live in a fat america. we don't need fat packs.

Because you don't need to ingest any more than what is in the packet. It's called a "serving size".

because if they would give you a lot of ketchup... they would be out of profit just because of giving too many ketchups
