yes like people said
frist henna
it lasts about 3-4 weeks
and isnt bad for you skin like some temp tattoos
and if you go to a good place
they could probably do a design that he wants
like if was to get the real one

but beware DONT GET BLACK HENNA
people will say its like regular but its not
all black henna ink is is chinese hair dye
and it will dye the hair on the body

If I was you I would wait at least until I was 18 or 20. So much changes in those few years, it's hard to keep up. And what you may think is so cool at 16, you might hate a couple years later. You might be wondering why you put something so stupid on your body at 16. Those temp tattoos last quite a while and they are fun. They might help you decide what you want permanent some day. Good luck.

I got my first tatoo at 16. I begged my mother until she gave in. Now I wish she hadn't. A neighbor who did tatoos on the side did it at home. It could have been a lot better.....
Now I've had it 16 years and I wish I could get rid of it. It is faded and plus it's on my ankle so when I wear dresses it looks trashy, and I have grown up to be anything but trashy. It just serves as a reminder of a past I'd like to forget. I also have two on my back from the same time period. I thought it was cool at the time to show off that you could take the pain. Now I think it's stupid.

I think 16 is really young for a tattoo. Plus people might get the wrong idea about you. If you really want one though, I would do it after you graduate as kind of a celebration. Try henna tattoos for now. Those last a while. Also keep in mind that the older you get the more they sag.

Well I am 16 and I got my REAL tattoo almost 2 years ago... I'd probably just rather get a real one then those fake ones like Henna and stuff. But I guess the henna ones can be kinda cool and they last about a month if you get them from the right places. You can usually get touch ups... well at least in flordia you can. But yeah I'd prob. rather consider a real tattoo... it doesn't hurt that much. Kinda addicting though so don't go psycho with it.

A 16 yr old cannot legally get a tattoo without parents' permission. So the answer is no, you shouldn't.

Honestly, temp is the way to go. You don't risk getting Hep C, infection, hating it later, being rejected for jobs later, explaining it to your kids later... I could go on & on.

I got one when I was 18 because I was old enough and thought I could. Dumb decision. Wish I'd never done it. Now I can't afford to have it removed.

I think that you have to wait until you 18 in most states. And that is a good thing.
I have 3 of my own, but I wouldn't let my boys get one until they were old enough.
It is a big decision!! The good temps will last about a week sometimes. Or a henna lasts longer.

Around here a 16 year old can not get a tattoo even with parental supervision, unless you want to go to a really sleezy place where the cleanliness of the needles are in question.

That's a no

so long as it's a design you've thought of for a long time (a couple years minimum) and is original (not some flash on the wall) and you can find a clean store that will ink minors, sure! keep in mind, placement is key if you get it without your parents permission, but even then - trust me - they will find out. it is up to you to not get the artist and store in trouble, even if that means getting in trouble for not telling them where you got it.

i got inked underage, under those circumstances, so i'd be a hyprocrate if i looked down on others for doing the same, just because i'm an adult now.

I think the number of people who get tattoos and later regret it is about 99%. Face it, tattoos are popular now, but they'll be regarded as pretty lame ten years from now. If you get a tattoo now, your future self is going to be P.O.ed at the you of 2006 big time.
