My daughter is 8 weeks old, and every now and then she will spit up and it will be chunky and looks like cottage cheese in her mouth! Is this normal?

Sounds normal. I breastfed my kids and my second one would get me good, sometimes. What a mess. The chunky stuff is the formula or breast milk that has curdled in the gastric acid. Sweet, isn't it ? ( NOT ! ) Nothing to worry about as long as your daughter doesn't seemed distressed about it, ( no crying or fussing, just spit ) If she is distressed, she might be lactose intolerant or, if breastfeeding, you might have to limit your diet in some things so it doesn't get passed to her in the breast milk.

Yes; she's spitting up milk/formula. Her little digestive system is still becoming accustomed to receiving her nutrition through that medium...not as easy as through the umbilical. This is perfectly normal. You only worry if she spits up every single ounce that she takes in. Be patient and try to get some sleep, too.

Whatever she just ate. A little chunky is normal. Too chunky and she may not be digesting it well. Talk to your doctor about trying a different formula.

If it comes right back up, it looks like milk. If it's been down there awhile, you get the cottage cheese effect. The milk is partially digested; that's why it's lumpy.

Normal, I always wiped it out of their mouths with the corner of a recieving blanket it I could because it looks yukky. The stomach has strong digestive acid in it, any milk that goes in there, even breast milk is going to curdle.

like kinda of a porridge like material, well what u say sounds like normal spit up, sometimes less chunky and more watery and vis versa
