Bush did do it, he flew over New Orleans for two days, before, while, and after the Hurricane hit. The Republicans didn't respond because of the racism over the Black Democrat vote, and continue to do so right on this page. This is one of the crimes Bush should be impeached for as President come November elections.

its alwaysBush Did It! Did you ever hear of personal responsibility? We are on petrol every where and there are boats all over the Med.. But , Lets see, What had just happened in the gulf before it hit new orleans?? there were no boats in the entire gulf that weren't damaged!!! the La govornor and the new orleans mayor were responsible for having thier stuff together. One question: would you chose to live in a ses pool 12 feet below sea level which is prone to flood and hurricane devastation without a personal evacuation plan and no insurance?

well, to begin with, the US did not send those folks over to
Lebanon.....they went on their own accord. So, we really
were under no obligation to even rescue them. It should
have been their problem for going there. New Orleans?
Maybe you didn't hear that communications was down and
no one knew where to begin after this humongous disaster
with people lined on the highways, highways in and out of
N.O. were under water, the Mayor did nothing, the Governor
of Louisiana did nothing and there was so much disaster it
covered 3 states not only New Orleans. You must expect
miracles if you thought they somehow could get boats in
the water immediately. Roads were impassable or broken
up due to trees and debris everywhere. This was the worst
thing to happen weatherwise and no one could have performed
miracles and gotten there any sooner. People were supposed
to evacuate to begin with, and if they had, no people in N.O.
would have died.

National Guard was helping set up shelters BEFORE the Hurricane hit. tho they did seriously underestimate the number of people who didn't evacuate. the U.S. Coast guard sent in boats and helicopters as soon as the wind let up the same day. So exactly which boats took two weeks?

The Democratic chick governor of LA dropped the ball in New Orleans. Typically, libs try to shift the blame to the Pres. for not doing the governor's job.

It's a small matter called "military preparedness." That's the purpose of the US Military. The primary responsibility for the safety of towns and cities lies with the State and Local leaders.

It could be because we constantly have boats patrolling in the Med and seldomly have them patrolling the Gulf of Mexico.
