It seems that everytime I get some meaningful feedback from potential employers, I run into the barrier of my background situation. It is frustrating, to say the least, and I need someone to tell me about resources that will help me in this area. I am located in the Twin Cities, Minnesota so the resources will need to be for this state. Thanks in advance.

It really depends on how serious your criminal background is. Get some good reference letters from your probation officer. Include it with your job appl or resume. Good luck.

I can relate. I'm an Ex-con.And it took me 1year before I started to work. Now I'm back to square one. I found that any time someone ask if you have ever been convicted on any application. Please leave it blank Do Not answer this question. This is where they get you.Just leave it blank. Go to HotJobs.com This helps me.Tell's you to put in the state you live&with-in how many miles you are looking. And it gives you some option's. Hope this help's. Good Luck! One more thing and if you met every qualification & the still didn't hire you.By law this is discrimination. From now on if you can make a copy of your Application's that way if you place a law suite for discrimination you have a copy of your Original Application and what you Originally filled in the blank's. Got it.Consider this Classified Information To one ex-con to another.I'm out of here!

Well cry me a river! You need advice because you have a ciminal background. Well dont worry, all state, county and goverment jobs are out of the question. Good luck on finding a job that has a contract with these agencys, because they will all do back ground checks. The only suggestion is you could go to the local teen group homes and tell the kids what not to do with your life.

i could recommend Pre-Paid criminal as a way to expunge your previous criminal record. you should use an accepted lawyer, yet I surely have had tremendous success making use of this employer for this, and a form of different motives. i could also refer you to really one of the different solutions to envision your resumes for accuracy, and in the adventure that they are "searching decrease back" better than 10 years, think ofyou've got a better recent company "unofficially" supplying you with a really adverse referral. If all else fails, go for your community momentary staffing company or state employment company, and they have experts who will walk you by ability of any subject matters you come across. reliable success!!
