Gays I know who are "out" and accepted by others as PEOPLE, not weirdos, are HAPPY! In fact, some of the funniest, happiest people I know are gay. I think the relief of NOT hiding and having to use phony heterosexual mannerisms is probably an overwhelmingly wonderful feeling.

I am a married hetero female. I have my own style. But I don't try to act like a male when doing so would look ridiculous. Behaviors such as stomping about, arms slightly flexed because of all those muscles, deliberate concealment of emotions, or acting "macho" look silly on hetero males too! That usually indicates an insecurity of their own sexuality.

Let gays enjoy the world as you do. If you get to know a few, you may actually enjoy their company. It's like talking to a guy without any sexual tension. THAT is such a relief!
