My cursor locks up frequently; it doesn't move. What's happening?

It won't move, and I have to hit alt+ctrl+del to make it move again. But it doesn't always work and then I have to restart the computer. But if it does work, it'll freeze again after 10 minutes.

Is it the cursor or the whole system?

I don't remember installing new stuff...

hi try taking the ball out of the mouse and cleaning the bits inside with nail polish remover i did and it work or download a new driver hope that it works Jo

If you're not using a wireless mouse, your cord may be halfway disconnected or you may have a short in it.
