I have been in school -until next week- and working -and unfortunately, he was laid off on June 1. He has started his own business and trying to make a go at it, but it's been crazy!!
I just want to do something sweet and that would make him happy because it's been a rough couple of years and he is my best friend--- that's why we've made it 25 years---- But it does not have to be real romantic and doesn't need to cost a whole lot because of job situation, can't spend too much!!
I NEED IDEAS of something I can do in a short period of time!!
Thanks!!

Can you afford to take a short car trip. Find a bed & breakfast as near home as possible. Go to a good movie & have a nice dinner.
It isn't how much you spend or what you do. If you have been
together for 25 years I am sure you just enjoy being together.
Congratulations on 25 years together. I hope that things are better in the next 25 years and that you will prosper so that you can take a trip or such on your 50th wedding anniversary.

How about a surprise weekend at a full-service hotel in a nearby big city? Fri-Sun Do the tourist thing, get massages, swim in the pool, see a movie, what have you. Tell them it's your anniversary and I"m sure they'll have a basket or some other goodies wiating in a nice room for you.

We had similar situation. My wife got relatives to keep the kids overnite. When I came home, candles were lit all over the house. She was dressed in 3 red paper hearts she had cut out & taped stragetically to her body. Nice dinner. It was great. It reminded us of who we were and what we meant to each other. We looked at our wedding movies and pics, relived honeymoon. Great sex. As the ad says, "PRICELESS!!!"

Check out the state parkes in your area. You can rent a cabin and they are really really nice at some places and CHEAP!
