Depends on the area of the country. The powers that be in our area measure the gas in "Hundreds" of cubic feet instesd of the traditional "Thousands". It's quite expensive in southern SC but you probably didn't use more than 10-15cents worth.

To know exactly, you would need the exact BTU of the burner and the price per therm you pay for gas. In the long run it doesnt matter because you probably wont notice it on your bill. Im guessing it would burn less than 10,000 BTUH on low and thats a very small amount of gas.

Your gas bill would only increase by a few cents. Not even a dollar. Don't freak out, she didn't mean to leave the burner on. Good Luck

my range burners are rated at 500 (simmer) to 16000 Btu.
one therm is 100,000 Btu and PGE charges less than a dollar per therm (0.94 per therm)
so 3 hours at 500 Btus are 1500 Btu.
they are going to cost you less than a cent and a half.
