I hate working in the heat. But, as a paramedic, I've got to spend lots of time out in the weather. Why can't everyone get injured in nice, air conditioned buildings? LOL! Would you believe that are uniforms are dark blue police type shirts, and dark grey slacks with black boots? One of these days I'm going to wind up with heat exhaustion and they are going to have to send an ambulance after me!

I don't, since I'm on the west coast, and the heat wave has passed. But my poor husband, who is a letter carrier, had to work overtime in 108 degree heat. About an hour before he got home, I wet a washcloth and put it in the freezer, then wet it again when he came home. I patted him down with it and put him in a cool shower, then gave him some ice-cold lemonade after. I'm sorry you have to endure the heat tomorrow. Take it easy, and try freezing a wet washcloth to use when you get home. The cloth will probably be stiff when you take it out, but just re-wet it with cold water. Oh, and keep popsicles on hand (my favorite is the Otter Pops).
