I don't know much about Cuba. Castro appointed his brother while he is sick, can he "will" Cuba to a family or staff member?

Evidently he can. He is el Presidente and has been dictator for almost 50 years. His brother is old too and won't live long. When he dies someone else and someone else I guess.
I think what is going to happen is Fidel dies, the brother stays in power six months and than the country has a peaceful (overall) revolution and gives up communism.

I think that will depend on how much comtrol his brother has or can get. Raul is not a young guy either. It's likely that there will be some sort of civic upheaval. The Q is; Will it be good for the people of Cuba? Castro took over 50 yrs ago. Is there anyone left to organize? I really don't know what goes on in Cuba politically, but the US is a good example of what happens when people are satisfied.Hopefully, our gov't stays out of their business like it should have 50 yrs ago.

I don't know but I know that America is watching very closely. I think we want to create another "free"nation. Before Castro I think alot of
Americans vacationed there etc. I'm not sure if Castro's family will
let go that easy and if the people will now rebel or not. I think they
will still be to afraid to. It would be nice to see those poor people free though. I see someone wrote how they don't want them here but
If you get rid of Castro and they become a free society than I think
they will be able to make something of their country on their own
and won't feel the need to come here. I don't mind if they come as
long as it is legally. We have enough of our own problems here.

It's in the Cuban Constitution... It says that castro can designate anyone. dumb, right? Turns out Cuba IT'S really a monarchy... NOPE, it's a true dictature

Basically he will turn it over to a successor! It looks like it may be a little more open. Cigar lovers will like that! Essentially what will happen is Cuba will be less one dictator, and you can see some more illegals on their way to Florida!

US will invade cuba as soon as castro dies. thats y he appointed his brother before he died so that his brother can take control during his lifetime.

I don't think there will be much change, should Castro die.
The big change would come when both Fidel AND his brother Raul pass away.

they are going to maximum in all probability change to a representative form of government and shift removed from the mess united statesof communism. they have an prolonged street beforehand of them to repair the wear, and advance their human beings out of poverty....the day will come nevertheless....i've got faith that their very final government might look something like England....

Cuba will fall into turmoil. There will be no organized government. My guess is that the army will take control...
