Rap sucks, because it dosen't require much talent and they really aren't musicians. It's just some stupid repetitive beat with lyrics dubbed over it. I'd like to see one of those so called "artists" pick up an instrument and play it. In rap music, it seems like more emphasis is put on the image of the artist than the actual music itself. That's not the way music should be.

I can't stand the harsh language, the ebonics, and how every rapper seems to think he's this tough, "gangsta thug" ladies man. Rap music is worse than heavy metal in my book. It's the worst form of music out there. Most of the time, it can't even be classified as music.

Rap music for me has its up and downs; however I feel that it is young people expressing themselves and that is always a good thing, expesslly if they are writting the songs themselves as well.
As a parent, rap can help them understand things about their child that they might miss, if they would only listen!

OK, I'm giving it a listen now. Is he saying 'Are you baked'? Nice. That would be one of the first reasons I don't like rap. Explicit lyrics about drugs, sex, violence.....yeah, it takes a lot of imagination to sing about that. Sorry, I don't like the background music, I don't like the beat. I'm not saying that these artists aren't talented - the music is simply not for me. But I did listen to that first little snippet on the website.

What I like is rap is the music.. the catchy dance and lyrics.
What I dnt like is that it is getting old.. they repeat the lyrics too much.. and the majority of the songs dont have no point to it.. and they talk stuff about "oh im better than you" or watever.

Damn that ****** is ugly, but about rap, I can like any kind of good rap song out there but if it's Incomprehensible to me than I just say Hasta La Vista to it......I blame 50 Cent
