Yes, you should be able to do your own laundry at 14. Ask your parents to show you how to work the washer and dryer, so that when you eventually (hopefully) move out, you will not dye all your clothes gray or pink. :)

You definately should. You could possibly be on your own in 4 years and have a crash course. How you take care of your clothes is a reflection on how you look. Esopecially when you start working and paying for those clothes. Have Mom help you learn.

Please add more to your question if you really want to know how to do laundry.
When you know how to do laundry, you take care of your clothes better and they last longer. And I was doing laundry every since I was little and it gives back to your family and you are deemed helpful and considerate. Just don't be afraid to ask questions to your parents and they'll help you out bro.. brothers... brethren? It may seem like your in the way but persistence is key. You'll figure it out really soon, don't worry it's easy.

Yes, sweetheart. As a mother of an 18 year old young man and 13 year old girl, I suggest you get out those instructions or ask one of your parents asap. Not just for their sakes, but for yours. It will be helpful for you in your future...trust me...also, you won't have to bug your parents if you need something washed...you can do it...also, they've put in their time, darlin'.

Look at it this way, if you know how to do your own laundry, it'll pay off later in life. A: you won't have pink underwear. B: Girls like guys who do household chores or are capable of learning how.
