I am planning on getting a half sleeve on my arm - starting with the right arm first, perhaps the left afterwards. Currently I have four tattoos, two on my upper arm- right arm has a cross and the left has a flower.
I’m not concerned about work and that - I have worked in an office before and its fine covering them up. I also have a tattoo on my wrist and that has never been a problem - easily covered with a watch or makeup.
Just want to know of any women/men who already have sleeve work. I’m interested to know what the artist did to conect all of the different tattoos. I’ve seen mostly waves and tribal. I don’t want tribal, waves may be okay. But does anyone know of or have anything else? The tattoos I am looking to get are a koi, lotus flower and two geisha fans. I am going to speak to my artist this week just wanted to see who else has this.
*Please dont leave a comment if it is to say don’t do it or tattoos are a sin.*
Thanks!!!

Sounds beautiful. You could connect them maybe with other small flowers, or vines? Just a thought.

My husband is up to 5 tattoos and going 1/2 sleeves, shoulder to short sleeve level. Even though I expressed my disgust for it. One or two tats are nice but once bare skin is gone I don't like the look at all.
His friend owns a shop, and they are pretty much covered.
He has one on his leg that he keeps adding to. At first it was a silhouette of a mountain biker, than they added a mountain with a face, then a silhouette of a dog following.
Last week he got a cool pic of a Viking statue.

That's great that you are able to conseal your tattoos...
My experience, I had a tattoo done by an artist when my mother passed away, but it was too small and corny... Then several months later I decided to make it more elaborate and hired another artist to add lily flowers around the original tattoo... At the end I have a great memorial for my mother...
If your orginal tattoo is several years old, try to have it touched up while your getting the new art done, so you don't have faded tattoos in the middle of your new work of art...
Have fun with your new art project...

Have you ever seen a tattoo on a 60 year old man that he got in his teens or 20's? Not pretty.
Have you seen somebody that has had a laser tattoo removal? Not pretty.
Just thought you should know!
Good luck! (get dragons or marijuana leaves or pentangles or 666 - they are all always popular!)

sounds pretty awesome to me. i think a great connection would be like a background instead of something that connects all of them from the front. i've designed several tattoos for some friends and they were all really happy with my craazy ideas.

a friend of mine used vines to connect hers, it turned out really great, she did a half sleeve as well.
I guess it depends on what you want the other tatt's to be as to what will work best in linking them, her tatt's were all kind of celtic in nature, and they did a really pretty vine made of line work to link the different ones...
good luck!

I don't think it's a sin....but before you do it think past right now. Think about getting married and/or having children. Think about what kind of career you're going into.....think about being 30 years old....50 years old...etc. If after that you still want to do it...go for it.
