When you "click" on the "Remove Me" link, you're just letting the spammer know that they have a valid email address. I don't advise that you do that anymore.

If you go to http://spamcop.com/ you can report the spammer. You will have to cut/paste the header of the email. The website will show you how to do it. It probably won't stop every spammer but maybe it'll stop a few of them. Good Luck!

Never reply in any way to any spam. That only tells the spammers that they have a real email address on hand and you will get even more spam than before. You need to delete your cookies, get a spyware detection and removal program like AdAware from Lavasoft, which has a free version, and use an email program with spam filters, whether an online one like Yahoo Mail or a computer installed one like Thunderbird.....

That sounds bad, if it doesn't allow you to unsubscribe, it is most likely a spammer company. Have you set your spam-filter setting high, which means only all emails sent from people in your address book will be put in the inbox. The rest will automatically go to the junkmail folder.

Be careful on what to subscribe in the future, some companies can sell your information to others... therefore you would get tons of unrelated emails.

Auto senders on spam e-mails are looking for live e-mail accounts. A reply from you (even a request to unsubscribe) lets them know you have a good e-mail address that can keep hitting with mail.

Just delete spam. Don't open it.

In this case, those two companies will probably sell your address to other spammers, so you might want to get a new e-mail address to use for your personal and business correspondence. You can keep that address as your spam address.

You really can't do anything about it. Next time, DO NOT follow those instructions and send the "remove me" replies. By doing so, you just acknowledged your e-mail address is valid. List of valid e-mails are sold everyday, and you just became a member of it.

What they are doing is illegal, but someone has to catch them before they can do anything about it.

You replying is just adding fuel to the fire. You need to change your email address. Sorry for the bad news.
