Don't believe it, I have seen it and experienced it. All of the events involved intense emotional position or connection and most always life and death situations and for me very negative results. I backed out of that space years ago.
Once in a while I get a "reading" or a feeling about someone who has posted a question. It is something that changes the way I answer a question.
In your case I am not getting anything. But anybody who picks "oatmealcreampie" ought to be a farm boy who eats alfalfa pellets for dessert. His mothers name should have been Hattie Mae and she should have named you Harold.
I have no great emotional connection with oatmeal. My guess would be Otis.

There are things called mirror cells which help aid with empathy and intuition. I do believe that some people have more of these then others which makes them able to perceive things that other cannot perceive as easily. Is this psychic ability? I think it is part of it; and this at least has been proven by science.

I'm not psychic. But the bible warns about psychics and states that they exist. It also states that they get their power via demonic influence and no the Holy Spirit.

There are more then one kind of Psychic ablity. Not everyone who is or claims can't find such infromation, esspecialy with no infor about you to build a conenction with.
