Considering the "celebrities" out there who have said or done WAY WORSE, I don't think his career is over. People who are fans (read "fan-atics"), may give him the benefit of the doubt while others may agree with him. People are funny that way - you never know what someone may think. Personally, I'd rather NOT idolize anyone to the point where absolutely anything was forgivable. I might like a particular person's movie but that wouldn't stop me from thinking they're a jerk, idiot, moron, air-head, etc.

Oh, thank you! I was mulling over whether I was going to put a Mel Gibson poll type question up. He is a raging jackass (big shocker there!), but what's the saying? Even bad publicity is good publicity? Another example of a raging jackass who's been able to continue his career on that premise--just look at certain people in certain political offices...need I say more? P.S. Okay, yeah, he absolutely rocked in the Mad Max Movies, especially 1 and 2...

Heck no. Just because he made 1 mistake doesn't end his carreer.Just like what the other guy said, they have been looking for something to yell at him about since he came out wit "The Passion Of The Christ" and nothing more. It was all over "Entertainment Tonight" like misquitos on a warm summer evening. It will take some time but will die down and be forgotten. Nothing major. Honestly I don't think people need to make such a fuss over it( Except the Jews. They rock.)

I bet people will forget about the whole incident in just a few weeks (well, maybe months) but definitely not over.
