Surgery.
Hey, at least you'll get a bowl of ice cream when it's all done!

Did you doctor check for strep throat? That's a possibility. Maybe the antibiotic for the tonsillitis isn't strong enough. An old fashioned way to sooth a sore throat, which is still recommended by doctors today, is gargle with salt water.

First how often do you get them? More than once a year you can life with, but twice doctor will want to take out.
I was like that when younger. Still have 'em and I'm 54.
Zinc. I got tonsilities and strep yearly until I got fed up. Started with 50mg to give boost at onset, dropped back to 25mg a week. That was maybe 25 yrs. ago. Keeps colds away. But if you let it go on tooo long, you'll still have to see the doc. They'll do a culture and prescribe meds./shot work faster. Zinc prevents recurrence. Did on me.

You could try gargling with 50% water and 50% peroxide. Or try warm water with salt added to it.
