In the room, at least 2 people will share the same birthday!
Everyone assumes that you mean the same day/month. But if you just go for the day (1 to 31) then statistically at least 2 of them will share the same birthDAY.

Although it may be true that most people wanted to be heard, it is also true that it is better to be prepared than utter "ah... ah... ok" till the end of the party. Duh!
You need to be savvy at something. In parties, subjects for conversation vary from the tackiest topic to the most odd. But it doesn't matter as long as you know what you are talking about, and you've got references to back it up. Don't make up stories! That's the worst thing one can possibly do.
What are you interested at? What are the places you've gone to these past two years? What books have you read? Did you browse through today's newspaper? Stuff like that...
Be yourself, I guess that's the most interesting subject to talk about in parties.

To most people the most interesting they can hear are questions about themselves, act interested, ask leading questions and stop worrying about what people think of you or what your saying. You can always say that you r so nervous at these events you went online to find something interesting to say!!! Might open up a whole group discussion of weird things people have done online
