And by backstabbing, I mean pushing him (he is fat) infront of a moving train in order to stop the train from running over 5 humans who are tied to the tracks . Would push him in front of the train to save the 5?

People, you need to choose....you KNOW, that the train WILL stop if you push the fat man in front of the train before it hits the five...There is not enough time to make any other decision...
Would you push the guy to save the five?
The reason most of you said no, and I would expect this of most, is because there is an internal rejection toward such a sleazy reaction by society....to backstab an individual...Those that did this were early on exterminated in our evolution because it did not help our survival as a specie.
What if I alter this question....
What if you WERE ON THE TRAIN...
and there were two tracks...
one with the fat guy tied to it, and the other with the five guys tied to it...You do not know them and none, to your knowledge is a child molester....however, you do know that the train is going really fast, and you only have time to push a button to go either right (fat guy) or left (kill the 5)....
If you do not push any button, the train derails and

Would you not choose? choose to kill the five, or only kill the one? I think this situation, it would be more acceptable to most human neural prescepts to push the button and kill the one, because it does not involve any visceral rejection or emotion, but are rather detached from the point of view of the train.
