I saw it! It's so scary I peed my pants cause we were watching it in my house and it was dark. I drank 2 much punch and I didn't want to get up in the dark to use the bathroom. That's how scary it was for me!It is based on a true story because in the ending, they show a black and white picture movie thing, like in the 40's and 50's no color. a police officer and a camera man go down their to the basement to get evidence that the killer was real. And right the the killer popped up and they got a footage of him.But the camera man and the police man were killed while getting the footage.

The newer remake was a bit corny with lots of gore...didn't like it at all...and the only reason I saw it is because the original scared the heck out of me...and that was mostly because it was based on something that actually took place...so don't bother with the newer one. As we all know, truth can be stranger than fiction. I saw the original in a movie theater and I'll never forget it because there was this couple with a small child of around two or three...and this poor kid was whiter than a sheet and his eyes were bigger than saucers...and I complained to the manager about it. If it gave me nightmares, what did it do to the child? Movies have become so much more graphic...they have taken it beyond the believable...and I find something more plausible a whole lot scarier.

It was totally nasty! I watched it with my mom and we both were freaking out. I heard it was based on a true story too but then I read somewhere that the writer actually came up with the idea when he was in a hardware store in front of a bunch of chainsaws when he came up with the idea.

I saw it. It's not bad. You should see it if you are the right age or if you don't care for age restrictions; Personally I don't think it should be an 18.

The mere title of the movie scared me! So did "Jaws".
But I like scary movies that mess with your mind, like the original Damian - scared the crap out of me, and I loved it!
